Art and Life
Time and landscape: the emotional abstraction of Ivaniuk’s reality

Oleksii Ivaniuk was born in 1988 in Pyriatyn. He studied fine and decorative arts in Poltava.

Since 2010, he has participated in national exhibitions and plein‑airs, becoming a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine in 2013. In 2016, he was a finalist of the “New Ukrainian Landscape” competition and a diploma recipient at the Kuindzhi Memorial. In 2019, he presented the “FOREST FOREVER” project at Triptych Gallery, exploring time and nature through landscape. In 2021, Mironova Foundation showcased his solo project “Time,” combining painting with mirrored objects.

His works stand out for their interplay of texture, color, and minimalist form, evoking a sense of suspended moment.

I work with landscape as with memory. Each brushstroke is an attempt to stop a fleeting moment and preserve it in color.
